Looking for a quick and easy wonderful gift? Try making some homemade sugar scrub. It’s easy, fast, and wonderful.
Here is what you need (this is enough to make 4-5 jars, depending on your size of jar):
- 3 1/2 cups coconut oil
- 2 cups of sugar
- 10 drops of essential oils
- 1 TBSP of Grapeseed oil
Place the coconut oil in the blender and mix for 1 min, then gradually add in the sugar a cup at a time and continue mixing. Add in the essential oils and grapeseed oil and blend well. Spoon the mixture into a glass mason jar and pretty it up with a gift tag and ribbon.
For this mixture I used the following essential oils:
- Cinnamon Bark Oil (8 drops)
- Black Pepper Oil (4 drops)
- Frankincense Oil (4 drops)
- Lemongrass Oil (4 drops)
You can use whatever mixture you like depending on who or what occasion you are gifting it for. I choose this combination for great skincare and for more of a warm/spicey smell (mostly from the cinnamon) since it was for Christmas. Please also note you should use therapeutic grade oils. To see what brand I use click here.
For the containers, I used the Half Pint Mason Jars from Ball. I find the wide mouth jars work better for usability. I also laminated the labels before sliding them in the jar top. since more than likely the scrub will be used in the shower it’s great to have the label waterproof.

Holiday Giveaway
Well, 2020 has been quite a year. It’s definitely been one for the books and one we will likely never forget. We have made it to the holiday season – a time for gratitude, togetherness, and celebration. And to celebrate the holiday season and the year 2020 coming to an end, I’ve teamed up with some of my favorite bloggers for the 7th annual Christmas Blessings Giveaway with the hopes of making this holiday season even more memorable (in a good way) for TWO families by giving away $500 in Paypal cash to each family.
While we wish we could bless many more families, we were able to come up with a big prize for TWO families – $500 each (delivered via Paypal) – that we pray will make a big difference in their lives this Christmas season – whether it’s to fulfill their kids’ Christmas wishes, pay off some bills, or to help build some savings, our prayer is that it helps to lessen any financial burden and/or fills a specific need, or simply brightens your day.
There are lots of entry options in the Rafflecopter form below – the more you enter, the better your chance of winning! I know it can seem tedious and time-consuming to go through all the entries, but isn’t a chance at $500 worth it? I think it is! Plus, all of these amazing bloggers donated their own money toward the cash prizes, so this giveaway wouldn’t be possible without them. I hope you’ll take the time to check out each one. Who knows, maybe you will find some new blogs to follow.
The giveaway will run from Monday, November 16th through Wednesday, November 25th (ends at 11:59 pm EST). The winner will be notified by email shortly after the giveaway ends and will have 48 hours to respond to claim the prize or another winner will be drawn. You must have a Paypal account to win. By entering this giveaway, you agree to be added to the email lists of the participating bloggers. Please be sure to read the Rafflecopter terms and conditions upon entering.

You have a lot of great info. I just saw the under eye treatment. Over night recently I now see I have to do something for this area. What’s on the market is ridiculously priced, so I really appreciate your giving a cheaper DIY option!
You are very welcome. The eye serum is so easy to make too! I think you are going to love it.
I can’t wait to try this sugar scrub recipe! I tried another and it was too oily. I know Yours will be just right!
I love using different body scrubs. I think it makes your body feel completely smooth when finished and it feels so amazing.

Thank you for this post! I am wanting to make this for some family members this year.
With this year being as crazy as it was I am really hurting for money this year. I thought I had Covid back in July, turned out to be a brain aneurysm. The surgery was very scary for me to go through. I was so happy to wake up after it.
What a perfect stocking stuffer!!!
