This one extra click before online shopping has saved me $177 this year!

Way back in 2014 I joined this program ebates.com. Well, after I signed up I totally forgot about it, and my account sat dormant for a few years. Then last summer we were at a family camping trip and one of our friends mentioned to me that she was using this ebates.com program and saving money while shopping online. I was like, oh yea I kind of remember that service. She told me how much she was saving, and I knew I had to look into this again!

The program is simple, go to ebates.com, find the store you were going to buy something at and then click on it and order as usual. Different stores are different percentages, anywhere from 2%-25%. Once in awhile you will see a 40% or above on specials. They also do some Monday specials. The hardest part is just remembering to go there first.

Now I will admit I do a lot of shopping at Amazon.com (gotta love that free Prime shipping!) and they do usually have a 3% rebate on some items, so it works out great for me! Target, Kohl’s, Walmart, Justice, PetSmart and ProFlowers are just a sampling of who else is on there.

So I know $177 isn’t that much, but hey for doing nothing more than adding a click before shopping I think it’s pretty good! The total would be more if I didn’t keep forgetting to go there first. I recently installed the new browser extension, so I shouldn’t forget as often now 🙂 The best thing is its cash, it goes right into my Paypal account. You can also redeem it as gift cards.
